Local group: SEMCO

If you’re interested in i3 Detroit, perhaps you’re also interested in SEMCO, the SouthEastern Michigan Computer Organization.  Meeting since 1976, this is a group of computer users and enthusiasts with a lean towards the PC/Windows world, though they also have a Linux SIG (special interest group).

SEMCO meets in Southfield on the second Sunday of every month.

This is the first post in a series, spotlighting other local groups. If you know of someone we should include, post a comment!

Detroit area hackers and makers may be interested in Robofest this Saturday at Lawrence Technological University.

“Robofest is an annual autonomous robotics competition focusing on learning STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology and Math) for students in grades 5 – 12 and college students.”
