Who should visit

You should visit! If you are:

  • 18 or over. (Gotta be able to legally sign the waiver.)
  • Friendly. (Grouches will be asked/forced to suspend their grouching.)

When to visit

Check the calendar!

If it's your very first visit, aim for Friday Nite Tours, or a member meeting on the 1st Tuesday of the month. These are the best times to see the space as a newbie.

If you've been here before, or if you're a member of another space, look for any event on the calendar that doesn't say it's members-only.

Do not just show up at other times without a specific invitation from a member.

What to expect

After you ring the doorbell, expect someone to answer the door.

If it's your first time, you'll be asked to fill out a waiver, then sign in.

If you already have a waiver on file, you'll be asked to sign in.

FAQ's

Q: Can I bring my kid?

A: Yes, your kid, for whom you can legally sign a waiver. Not anybody else's. Minors are only allowed in the space with a parent or guardian, never unsupervised. We are not a day-care facility. As the old joke goes, unsupervised minors will be given espresso and a puppy lasers and deviant ideas. And espresso.

Q: Do I need to register or otherwise pester you via email first?

A: for Friday nite Tours: No! Just show up.

A: for meeting Tuesdays: No! Just show up.

A: for other events on the calendar: Click the calendar event and see if it says to register. If there's an Eventbrite link, follow it.

Q: Sometimes organizations claim on their website that something is happening that I can show up to, when in fact, they went defunct in 2020 and didn't update their website. Are you sure I don't need to email you first?

A: We're sure. It's been really consistent.

Q: Can I visit at other times?

A: If you already know a member, that member can host you as their guest at any time. (As long as they're willing to be in the space with you!)

Otherwise, maybe. Email contact@ and explain why you can't make the scheduled times we already have volunteers for, and you may or may not get a response.
