The Story of Our Lease(s)

    • 2012-05-05 - Negotiated with landlord about leasing space in the next door office “i3 West.” Initial setup would require us to electrify the door, replace a window, and create a man gate for the fence. The lease would be month-to-month, with electricity costs to initially be 10% of the building’s usage.====

    • 2012-08-07 - The vote to approve spending for *i3 West* passed; the board of directors has granted authority to sign a lease. The Landlord has written up the lease, it will be signed. The door access situation still needs to be addressed, we are working on developing a system.====

He doesn't expect us to see a lease until the day before we take it over.

    • 2018-06-26 - Working with Charlie on Lease for existing space and B. Nektar space. Charlie has a good rapport with the landlord. He's OK with us being month-to-month and when B. Nektar is ready to move we'll sign a new lease Also please do not pester B. Nektar people about when they're planning to move. We don't need many uncoordinated points of contact.====

Information appears to exist that cannot be shared with the president or board. Would like to for a committee to investigate other places so we understand what our options are. Mel has a contact from a place in Royal Oak that is looking for industrial / warehouse in Royal Oak / Ferndale. Lew, state of current lease is indeterminate, want to avoid a situate of needing to move. Would recommend a commercial realtor. Paul should have a committee formed to investigate Art - look carefully before signing or entering any agreements in the commercial space.====
