Hybrid Meeting Etiquette
- Be excellent.
- Attendance and voting can be found in the #meetings slack channel.
- Please show up early if you are concerned about your audio.
- If there is no one waiting to speak feel free to do so at the next opportunity.
- If there is someone waiting to speak, please say that you are raising your hand in the google call chat. (This will be demonstrated)
- Please refrain from other side conversations, these can be distracting for the rest of the meeting and make it difficult for the chair to keep track of what's going on.
- If you're in the space remember that having a single person speaking at a time is helpful for those attending online.
Introductions
What does being excellent at i3 mean
An experienced member explains what being excellent at i3 means to them
AJ said being excellent is wiping off the tables after use
Jeff Pynonnen: Means emptying the trash cans and stocking the fridge with a balance of sugar/sugarfree stuff to accommodate varying member needs.
Experienced Members
- Matt Huber, is advocate, btw having a second advocate could be nice!

Show and Tell
- Frank A shows off a "catch-all tray" that he made on the CNC with a beautifully carved squirrel vector on the bottom. Says it took about an hour.
- Thomas points out we should show off the Creality donation. Frank goes to get it.
- Steve N the Elder made a wishing well for his sister!
- Frank shows off the new Creality 3D scanner, donated by a visit from Creatity executives Thomas says Leather Lew is the point contact with Creality.

Outstanding Action Items
New Business
- Aj added this -- who owns or has edit access to the member phase 1 form? It still says black cabinet for trash bags, and I still think we should have people count / locate first aid kits too. Can we / should we update this?
AJ is Updating the member onboarding to reflect changes in trash bag locations and stuff. Inaudible Paul points out a lot of Covid-era changes haven't been undone and it's time for a thorough review.
Matt A asks Nate B what account made those forms or how to edit them. Nate cannot recall. Frank says he can edit it. Matt points out that incoming members are constantly finding wrinkles and we're not closing that feedback loop and updating the onboarding material. Matt welcomes AJ to be proactive.
Drew said we should capture feedback in the form. Matt/Frank/AJ talk about adding a freeform text field for "is this form broken somehow?" or whatever.

Media Lab
- Jeff P. Excited about the 3D scanner, it's on the shelf in the media zone. Easiest way to use it is to find someone who's used it. Jeff might try to post a list of experienced people.
Sewing Zone
- Ceiling tiles are mostly installed, some are out for electrical work. Next buildout meet, there should be some visible progress on door framing/hanging. Table design is progressing, materials purchase is planned for April 25. Member storage bar was hung last week. Task lists on slack show main room tasks and another task list of (fun) projects that fully furnish the room, broken out by skill.
- Reorganized stuff in storage; some small tools are pretty accessible just inside the door in drawers. But most if not all boxes are labeled with what is inside.
- I'll be out of the space for a week (maybe more, I'm not sure) starting Thursday but the buildouts should be able to continue and I'll be reachable by email and slack.
Storage Zone
- Aj is regularly providing updates on Storage happenings in the storage slack channel. If you want more regular info / updates, feel free to join the channel.
- Can the template for meeting minutes be updated to reflect the current Zone list? (I'm adding Storage to the list, and I believe there's others missing / out of order)
- I made a simple Google form where people can submit any ideas or feedback they have about Storage: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd3xm_4f9ol00335rfXX7BIzRLvl-sHDUuzcFw1PCeFhv_BLQ/viewform?usp=sharing
- It's anonymous as long as you don't provide identifying info.
- All claimed storage plots that have updated labels have been given an index card with contact info. If your plot isn't labelled, it's because you don't have it claimed in the CRM.
- Labels still need up be updated for the lockers and laser storage plots (and the highest up wood pylon plots)
- Cosplay SIG materials have been removed from member storage, and are now located above the vending machines. Ideally, i3, zone, and SIG storage will be separate from member personal storage (in progress)
- I'm looking into some changes and requests that may require proposals and approvals. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any on schedule 10 days prior to this meeting, but giving a quick overview:
- Starting up a new version of Storage reaping
- Potential formation of a Storage Committee
- Updating the format of parking permits and parking tickets
- Looking into short term 'active project' / 'this is drying' storage
Several favorable comments about the recent energy in storage.

Cosplay
- Any SIGs want to update? Jan has a note re cosplay, was talking with AJ about cosplay storage and who the contact person might be, there doesn't seem to be a point person for the SIG anymore. Paul Lee doesn't think it's been an active SIG since the pandemic.
- Matt A wants to add a "check if 3 meetings in a row hasn't had an update from a given zone or SIG and maybe we should think about that"
- Andrew Chicotel is happy to step in as cosplay SIG lead.

Additional items from the floor
Frank wants to point out that some time ago we approved budgets to move to a new CRM. That got some work and got put on hold a while, has restarted activity, it looks like there's a solution that can do everything we want, membership, storage, onboarding, etc. They're meeting with a company rep next monday! Will soft-start with a few members. HelloClub is the name. It has resource bookings and calendar integration and stuff. Paul L makes a "gym members" joke about people who pay their dues and never show up. It should be able to produce an export that goes to the door controller, but it's not keeping active track of the door swipes. We can set rules on when overdue members can no longer open the door, etc. What's the cost? Up to $100/mo was approved, our package we're looking at should be about $80-something a month. Sounds like they're throwing in API access for free but that's not certain, might be around 160/mo if we have to pay for the API. It's likely to be a big lift to get every member's billing moved over, since individuals will have to restart transactions in the new system, but that's for later.
Jeremy! Tire machine and balancer are installed, replacement part is coming for the part he immediately broke. Wheel weights are coming, training is getting set up.
