Hybrid Meeting Etiquette
- Be excellent.
- Attendance and voting can be found in the #meetings slack channel.
- Please show up early if you are concerned about your audio.
- If there is no one waiting to speak feel free to do so at the next opportunity.
- If there is someone waiting to speak, please say that you are raising your hand in the google call chat. (This will be demonstrated)
- Please refrain from other side conversations, these can be distracting for the rest of the meeting and make it difficult for the chair to keep track of what's going on.
- If you're in the space remember that having a single person speaking at a time is helpful for those attending online.

i3 Ideation Night
Aj will be hosting an Ideation Night on November 22nd, ~5:30pm (still need to add it to calendar + EventBrite)! This will be Board-sponsored and we will be using Design Thinking methodology to come up with ideas for changes, improvements, and the future of i3!
I will be compiling the results to share with Zone Coordinators, Officers, and the Board, and we will take it into account when working on the budget and planning for next year. It will also help the Board focus our efforts towards what members care about the most.
Please attend if you can -- the more attendees, the better! We will likely do a group food order as well.
Halloween Party!
Tell your friends! Tell random people! Share the posters! ...also help clean up and prepare!!
We need to make sure all tools are put away securely, and clean up small objects left out on tables, etc. -- anything likely to get in the way or go missing. Wipe down tables, block stuff off, drink a soda so we have less to move to make room for bar stuff.
Areas that could use tidying as Aj is updating this on Thursday: craft zone, front entry desks, media lab desks and printers and shelves, new e-lab (Sewing will be blocked off, but e-lab can stay open!). All tables could use wiping down, including ones in classroom. Bathrooms need to be cleaned.
We will likely need help with final preparations Thursday night (including putting blueberries inside of lychees and freezing them). If you plan on bringing any food, please let Thomas know. If you plan on bringing any alcohol, please message in the #halloween-party slack channel to let us know. If you can help reach out to B Nektar to see if they have any interest in making a donation for the party, that'd be great too.

Sewing Zone
- Pattern tables: new 5x10 mat is enjoying a flattening period, currently weighed down with wood and books. Drawers for both are in the polyurethaning stage. Buildout is scheduled for Sunday this weekend, November 2.
- The new sewing room is a clean space and there is a bit of a culture shift from things that were ok before, that are not ok in the new space. A few signs have been placed as reminders, but there is no food -- not anywhere in the room. It's fine if people want to note their stuff, leave it and take a break in the Commons with a coffee, beer, soda or food. Food attracts mice, mice pee on fabric and leave droppings. Food leaves crumbs and undesirable sticky stuff where projects are supposed to be.
- There are cupholders Paul printed to attach to the tables, and these are for people's personal water bottle/containers. They're lidded, less likely to spill and when using the cupholders, keep the table clear for yourselves. Coffee mugs, disposable cups, Starbucks coffee cups, soda cans, beer bottles, Gatorade are examples of what to keep out of the room. They not only have a higher potential to spill and stain and make sticky, they are trash and previous experience and observations around the space have shown that trash remains. No one wants to bus the table of abandoned trash before they can get to their projects. An example of being excellent is honoring these changes for this zone out of respect for the great space we've built together and the projects others will be making here.
Storage Zone
- Small reminder that if you have a storage plot and don't remove the yellow tag by December, you'll lose your storage plot...
