It is easy to figure out how to clean up your own mess, you made it and you know where everything goes because you got it from there. It's not so easy when cleaning up a mess you didn't make whose owner seems to be gone for the day. In order to all live together, we establish some common expectations, so as to minimize unpleasant surprises. You don't HAVE to clean up someone else's mess, but from time to time you may wish to because of some spare time or a need to use the area without the mess.

1. Cleaning up tools

  • If it is clear the person using the tools are gone for the day (ask around) then feel free to put the tool back into its home position.
  • If you do not know a tool's home position, then put it in the WHERE DOES IT GO box for the appropriate zone.
  • If you do not know the appropriate zone, or that zone doesn't have a WDIG box, then put it in the WDIG box in the COMMONS area.

2. Cleaning up Projects on the Floor in a Common Area

  • You cannot move/clean a project on the floor in a common area. You can place a Parking Tickets on it {Standing Rule 4.8). Which should get it moved in about 2 weeks or so.

3. Cleaning up Projects on the Floor of a Zone
