COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

Covid-19 General Operation Rules

  1. Allowed activities: All normal activities are now allowed at the space. Individual event organizers may choose to hold their event virtually or in-person.
    • Normal guest policies still apply - Hosts of guests are responsible for making sure their guests understand and follow all applicable rules including this COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan.
  2. Occupancy Limit: 50% Occupancy - No more than 35 people in the space as a whole at any given time, and no more than 17 people on either A-side or B-side individually. Please continue to respect the zone specific occupancy limits, especially in enclosed zones.
  3. Before coming to the space for the first time post-Covid: All membership keys prior to May 29. 2020 have been wiped from the keypad and keys are being reinstated on an individual basis after the following conditions are met:
    1. The member has completed the new electronic waiver (https://i3detroit.org/waiver/) after May 29, 2020.
    2. The member has completed the COVID-19 Rules Member Agreement Form.
  4. Before every visit to the space:
    1. Everyone must complete and pass the screening checklist within 2 hours prior to each visit to the space.
    2. Everyone must schedule their work time or event by using the work schedule, being mindful of the reduced occupancy limit. There must be a calendar event for each individual in the space. Number of events == number of people, no sharing or combining. This is to facilitate counting for occupancy compliance. The schedule must be updated after the work/event is complete to reflect actual times that people were at the space (for contact tracing).
      • Staggering of work/events is strongly encouraged to minimize the number of people in the building at any given time.
      • See HOWTO_Add_Yourself_to_the_i3_Work_Schedule for details and instructions on how to enter events onto the schedule.
  5. While at the space
    1. Masks will still be required, no exceptions for eating and drinking, other than short sips. This applies to both vaccinated & unvaccinated individuals. Individuals are encouraged to provide their own PPE, however i3 has non-medical face masks and additional PPE (gloves, face shields, safety glasses, etc) available for use.
    2. Social distancing is not required provided you have consent of anyone you are within 6 feet of.
    3. Practice safe hand-washing & respect any marked traffic patterns, zone-specific safety practices, operator stations, physical barriers, etc as described in COVID-19 Best Practices.

Covid-19 Administrative Monitoring & Response Plan

  1. The screening checklist, work schedule and general adherence to this plan will be monitored by the officers and board of directors.
  2. A copy of this plan shall be printed and affixed outside the front door of the space and available at the front desk.
  3. While at the space, all members are responsible for being able to report on the COVID-19 control strategies (this plan) and how i3 is implementing and monitoring said strategies. If any law enforcement or health department official comes to the door, you are responsible for showing them the hard copy of the plan and advising them to email president@i3detroit.org for any further questions. This duty defines you as an "On-site supervisor". The hard copy can be found on the sign-in table and taped to the front door.
  4. Anyone who experiences symptoms or has a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 within 14 days of visiting i3 shall notify the president by emailing president@i3detroit.org. The president will keep this information confidential but will use it to notify others.
  5. In the event of an exposure
    1. The space will be closed for 7 days or until it can be thoroughly cleaned.
    2. An announcement will be made to the i3-announce mailing list of the exposure date.
    3. Within 24 hours the president will directly notify anyone who was at i3 in the exposure timeframe that they may have been exposed with exposure date and time.
    4. The president will notify any relevant health authorities in the event of an exposure.
  6. Camera reviews will be permitted to be conducted remotely via video chat. All other rules regarding the camera system will remain the same.
  7. The Covid-19 Preparedness and Response Plan supersedes any other Standing Rule should there be a discrepancy.
  8. These rules are consistent with MIOSHA Emergency Rules as of 5/23/21 and MDHHS Epidemic Order: Gatherings and Face Mask Order as of 6/1/21
    1. If an order supersedes that order but is not more restrictive, the President may update the first sentence to say we are consistent with the new order.
    2. If an order supersedes that order but is more restrictive, i3 will be closed until these rules are revised to meet the new restrictions.
  9. In case of conflict between these rules and the laws/lawful orders of the jurisdictions where i3 is located, or their representatives, the law shall take precedence over the specific rule in conflict with the remaining rules unaffected.
