Sponsorship Tiers wiki page exists now. Next steps?

Prior Meeting Action Items

Action Item: Jamie to update the wiki with fundraising information.
Enough is done to close this action item, but wiki stuff is always on iterative.
Action Item: Voitek to work on corporate sponsorship section of website & plaque.
Still working on this part, but did solicit some donations.
Action Item: Paul is going to check with Blumz about what is going on with them.
Need to check again.
Action Item: Mel will create a blank doc on fundraising for people to start inputting a draft of the form letter for MEDC gifts. Also post it to slack.
Done, google form is complete for finished gifts. Still need a communication for people whose gifts that aren’t ready. Jody is point of contact for finished gifts communication. Mel is point of contact for communication for unfinished gifts.
Action Item: Kevin Fa. to research American Crafts Council grant.
They have a bunch of cool things, but nothing that is applicable to us as a whole, but could be for specific zones, like Jan with sewing.

Patronicity Update

Action Item: Jamie needs to write this.

New Business

Raffle Tickets

  • Need a volunteer to start the paperwork to get us a raffle ticket license. This needs to be treasurer.
  • Thinking about doing another open house and doing either a raffle or silent auction at the open house.
    • Mel’s mother-in-law offered to provide baked goods for said event, whether an open house or Chamber of Commerce After 5 event. Jamie wants to see what events the membership wants to have.

The Fundraising Committee wiki page is maybe out of date. Vote to re-affirm existing members, include any interested new members Besides chairs, members are now: Jan, Mel, Paul, Ben, & Kevin Fa.

Wiki Organization

  • Jamie made the wiki page for the fundraising committee a little less terrible, but there's still a lot of floating fundraising-related information on the wiki.
  • How best to organize information between the wiki and the shared drive?
    • Best practice is to use the shared drive for working documents and we need a process to regularly publish final work that should be on the wiki to the wiki.

Grant Writing

Ben has experience with grant writing and is willing to help. Suggest we look into the Clif Bar grant. website here
